A few words from Dr Burnett:
“Working as a GP in Sonning Common for 31 years has been a great privilege. People have shared important moments in their lives with me. I have been present at the births of babies who have grown up to be fine young men and women. I have broken good news and bad and I have been with people as their lives have ended. I work with a team of dedicated and talented people, all of whom contribute to the service that we provide. Our practice is successful because of the support and encouragement that
we receive from the people that we serve.
My time at the health centre is coming to an end but the ethos of care and innovation that we have always had will continue. New doctors bring new enthusiasm and fresh thinking that will keep us developing as our community grows. I know that I am leaving the practice in good health and wish my patients and colleagues every success in the future.”
Dr Andrew Burnett is retiring from Sonning Common Health Centre at the end of March 2017. Dr Burnett has worked as a GP at the health centre for 31 years. He will be replaced by Dr Claire Webster and Dr Nick Smith from Monday 3 April, who are both joining the surgery as salaried doctors.
Patients of Dr Burnett will move to Dr Claire Webster if their surname begins with A to J and to Dr Nick Smith if their surname begins with K to Z. Patients are welcome to see any of the health centre’s GPs, subject to availability.
