Interested in Becoming a Parish Councillor?

The Parish Council is hoping that there may be some parishioners out there who would consider joining them to help keep things running smoothly in our beautiful rural parish.

Councillors can choose to get involved in a variety of areas: for example, planning, transport, traffic, allotments, and this newsletter, to name a few. If you browse the About Us tab, you will get a feel for the range of the parish’s responsibilities. The councillors are all volunteers and training is available.

Council meetings are held on the penultimate Wednesday of the month in the Parish Room, starting at 8 pm. All are welcome so feel free to come along and see what goes on. The next two meetings will be on 23 January and 20 February, the agenda will be posted on the website ahead of each meeting.

If you are 18, you are an elector of this parish or you work or live in (or within 3 miles of) this parish, and you are a British/Commonwealth/EU citizen then you may be eligible.

It would be wonderful to have some new faces round the table. If you would like more information, please contact any councillor (contact details are on the website) or get in touch with Sue Biggs at
