Consultation on planning applications during the Covid-19 pandemic

neighbourhood development plan

Despite the current restrictions imposed during the Covid-19 pandemic, the District Council continues to receive planning applications.  It continues to consult, amongst others, parish councils on those applications, before determining (ie reaching a decision on) the applications.

In the past the District Council has sent papers copies of applications to parish councils.  During the current restrictions, it is no longer doing so.  Details of applications can now only be seen on the District Council’s website – www.southoxon.gov.uk.  The District Council will continue to give notice of applications to neighbours they (the District Council) think are affected.  This will be by letter.

The Parish Council’s Plans Sub-Committee usually canvasses neighbours’ views on applications, before the Council submits its comments.  Obviously, during the restrictions, the councillors are unable to visit residents to seek their observations.  Please, therefore, contact the relevant councillors if you want to alert the Parish Council to your views.  They are

Sue Biggs – sue.biggs@kepc.info or 0118 972 3456, who covers Chalkhouse Green and Kidmore End

Trevor Perchard – trevor.perchard@kepc.info or 07860 176746 who covers Cane End and Tokers Green.

The 2 councillors share Gallowstree Common applications between them.
