Jane and James Mather and their elderly border terrier ’Ted’ moved to Kidmore End July 2016.

James is a Church of Scotland Minister and Jane is a trainee ‘group work practitioner’.

Ted has sadly died but his successors run on – They are Thwaite and Dora bumptious border terriers aka escape artists who are very keen on Withy Copse Woods.

We live at Withy Copse at the far west end of Gallowstree Common on the Horsepond Road. Previously Withy Copse House and Workshops was owned by Charlie Paddick who built the original Pavillion at Kidmore End Playing Fields. We walk across the playing fields ( on a lead) most days and love it !!

Jane’s particular interest on the Parish Council is to reduce the speed that people drive through Gallowstree Common and is pleased to be part of the Chair’s new working group.

Nick Room

Resident: Sonning Common

Councillor |  Amendies | Planning | Wells Manager

Email: nick.room@kepc.info

I’ve lived in Sonning Common since 1989 when my wife Yvonne and I moved here after marriage. My connection with Kidmore End is largely through the church, where I was Treasurer back in Graham Foulis Brown’s time, and, since October 2020, Churchwarden to the Parish (the two churches of St John’s and Christ the King in Sonning Common).

I have made many friends in the village and regularly ride my bike around the place. I have my own small business, which I set up having retired from Waitrose Buying in August 2019. KEPC and the church activities are not my only volunteering commitments, so I am spinning many plates, but thrive on helping communities and getting involved.
