Gallowstree Common (communications)

Since Covid, like so many communities Gallowstree Common has developed a number of Whatsapp groups for each individual road in the village, and across the whole community.

In addition to all the Whatspp groups is our email network but of course not all people have access to computers, so a hard copy of the local parish newsletter still has its importance in keeping everyone informed across our communities.

With the new community sections on the KEPC website we can now service all these mediums and keep everyone informed of what is going on in the Gallowstree Common area, while at the same time informing the rest of the parish who in turn can share their activities and events.

When the local Reformation Pub in Gallowstree finally shut and the site given over to the creation of an excellent local Vet Service, the community lost a key resource.

So, the Pavilion Bar which is organised and licenced by the Kidmore End Cricket Club in residence at the Gallowstree Recreation Ground opened its doors on a Friday night, during the non-cricket season, to the residents in parish, but with key focus on serving the local Gallowstree Common community.

From the end of April, the bar will open every Friday, weather permitting, with food available during the junior cricket training sessions.
