Kidmore End Well Restoration Appeal | Crowdfunding link
The Parish Council owns the grade 2 listed well in Kidmore End Village and has some funds for the repair, but we need your help to raise the funds to complete this important project
This Victorian well was paid for by public subscription and opened in 1868. It was in use until 1906, when the South Oxfordshire water company connected the village to a reservoir. The well is an important village landmark located in the centre of two roads outside of the church. The oak sills have decayed and now the structure is unsafe and needs immediate repair and restoration. The work needs to be carried out by specialists, using traditional methods and sustainable materials. The work will be completed over this summer during the school holidays.
